Journaling is a very personal project. Everyone choses their own style, whether it is a diary to look back on, or a narration of your life for an external reader that may never read it, or an exploration of your inner world; how you journal is entirely up to you. Journaling can help us through emotional times by raising our awareness of what we are feeling and why we are feeling those emotions. The prompts below are just suggestions, which will hopefully help you and fire your imagination.
What did you do today? How did it make you feel?
What three things can you be grateful for?
What is my goal for tomorrow? How will I know if I have succeeded?
What was the fun factor today from 1 – 10? How can you improve it even just by 1 point tomorrow?
What is your favourite form of self-care? How did you care for yourself today?
What is your favourite memory?
If you could improve one thing in your life what would it be and why? Now what actions are you going to take tomorrow to help with this.
What makes you feel safe? How can you incorporate more of this into your day?
Happy journaling!
